Savages

Director, Screenwriter

Savages is an intense action and non-dialogue short film. To date, this is by far my most ambitious work, with action scenes, story, and production value well beyond a typical student film. Completed over 4 months of successful collaboration amongst multiple stunt coordinators, actors, producers, and location manager, and completed during a 6-day shoot. Should anyone evaluate my potential as a filmmaker, this is what I would show them.

Lightwork

A short-drama idolizing the influence Kobe Bryant had over an entire generation of athletes. This film was made to capture what it felt like to have a role model like that, what Mamba Mentality meant to me, and who Kobe was to the average athlete.

When Babies Fly

A short film I wrote, directed, and edited at USC. The comedic tone of the film is intentionally very dark. Created without a budget and a minimal crew, this film evokes a very strong reaction from viewers. Controversial with faculty, I received a very positive classmate response.

Intruder

This is the first film I ever directed or edited. A main focus of the UCLA program was to create a short film entirely written, shot, cast, produced, edited, and directed by the students. After presenting my vision for one of the scripts about two women who claim they owned the same house, I was selected to be the director. We shot over two twelve-hour days and edited over five days. After countless hours spent in the editing room and plenty of helpful criticism, the film turned out to be something I’m proud of.
